Meaning
UKC (UK-Continent) is the market term for the discharge and load region from the UK across North-west Europe, roughly Le Havre to Hamburg.
Also written as UK-Cont, UK Continent, UKCM
UKC explained
Recaps often give a discharge range such as “1–2 ports UKC”, letting the charterer choose ports within the range. Freight is then quoted on the basis of the range.
