Sea distances

Tanker port-to-port distances

1,200 voyages across the main crude and clean product trades, each with sea days by speed, ECA miles and the Suez, Panama and Cape alternatives.

Plan any route

Arabian Gulf → Far East crude

Arabian Gulf crude to China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan is the benchmark VLCC trade and the single biggest source of long-haul tanker demand.

West Africa crude

Nigerian, Angolan and Congolese light sweet crude, shipped north to Europe on Suezmaxes and east to India and China on VLCCs.

US Gulf crude exports

US shale crude out of Corpus Christi, Houston and the LOOP to Europe and Asia, often reverse-lightered onto VLCCs offshore.

Baltic & Black Sea crude

Crude out of the Baltic and the Black Sea, including CPC Blend from Kazakhstan and Azeri crude through Ceyhan and Supsa, into the Mediterranean, Europe and Asia.

North Africa & East Med crude

Libyan, Algerian and Egyptian crude moving around the Mediterranean and up to North-west Europe, mostly on Aframaxes.

Arabian Gulf & India → clean products

Naphtha, jet and diesel from the big export refineries at Ruwais, Jubail, Yanbu and Jamnagar, going east to Japan and Singapore, west to Europe, and to East Africa.

US Gulf clean products

Diesel and gasoline exports from the Texas and Louisiana refining belt to Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, the core MR trade in the Atlantic.

Asia-Pacific clean products

Singapore and North Asian refinery exports supplying Australia, New Zealand and South-east Asia, which import most of the fuel they burn.
