SHINC
Sundays and Holidays Included
Meaning
SHINC means laytime keeps running on Sundays and public holidays, so every day counts as laytime unless something else excludes it.
SHINC explained
SHINC tells you that weekends and holidays don't stop the laytime clock. Tanker terminals generally work around the clock, so tanker charters almost always count laytime SHINC.
SHINC only deals with Sundays and holidays. Time can still be excluded for other reasons the charter lists, such as shifting, ship's fault or bad weather where the terms provide for it.
