TMSA
Tanker Management and Self Assessment
Meaning
TMSA is OCIMF's Tanker Management and Self Assessment programme, in which tanker operators rate their own management systems against best practice.
TMSA explained
Operators submit a TMSA self-assessment covering areas such as safety, maintenance, crewing and environmental management. Vetting departments use it, together with SIRE reports, to judge the operator behind a ship.
